Denarius Geldkatze
The Geldkatze origins its name in the old german word "Chazza", meaning "vessel, container" or simply "bag". Some still think of the pouch being made from the skin of a cat ("Katze"), but we can not confirm this myth.
Our "Denarius" Geldkatze is made from soft suede and uses two brass rings to close it with. Traditionally it was worn on the belt - the more valuable half being worn closer to the body. The long slit in the middle is placed on the belt itself to assure not a coin falling out. The "Denarius" Geldkatze is a great way to transport and display valuable gems, coins or other values. If you are still looking for the right materials to fill the pouch with: we have copper, silver and gold coins in offer - you might want to check our stock for those sets...
